This nationally recognised course provides the knowledge and practical skills required to identify and respond to children and young people at risk, in line with current legislation, reporting requirements, and best-practice standards. Learners develop an understanding of child protection responsibilities, including recognising signs of abuse and neglect, responding appropriately, and following correct reporting procedures. This course is delivered fully online, allowing participants to complete the training at their own pace while building confidence in managing real-world child protection scenarios. |

Pre-requisites
An individual undertaking this course will need to demonstrate the following to be eligible for entry:
An official form of photo identification (e.g. driver’s licence, passport, or student ID)
Learning: Reflect on real-life situations and apply knowledge to new scenarios
Reading: Understand policies, indicators of harm, and reporting procedures
Writing: Record clear, factual observations and reports
Oral communication: Communicate respectfully about sensitive issues
Numeracy: Understand timelines, ages, and basic data in reports
Digital Literacy: Use a device to access learning materials and complete online tasks
Students must have access to a device with camera and audio recording capabilities to complete video assessment tasks
