At Jasmine’s Training & Education, we deliver First Aid training (HLTAID011 Provide First Aid) for workplaces, schools, and community organisations across Cranbourne and surrounding South Eastern suburbs.
This nationally recognised course provides the knowledge and practical skills required to recognise emergencies and deliver immediate and effective first aid treatment in line with Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines and national clinical standards. Learners develop confidence in assessing a casualty, responding to a range of medical emergencies, and providing appropriate first aid care, including CPR and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). This course includes both theory and practical components, supporting learners to respond effectively to real-life emergency situations. |

Assessment
Performance tasks and practical scenarios:
Perform CPR on an adult (including the use of an AED and placing a casualty into the recovery position)
Perform CPR on an infant
Manage a casualty with anaphylaxis
Manage a casualty with asthma
Manage a choking casualty
Manage a casualty with non-life-threatening bleeding and requiring minor wound cleaning
Manage a casualty with shock
Manage a casualty with a nosebleed
Manage a casualty with a fracture and dislocation
Manage a casualty with a sprain and strain
Manage a casualty with envenomation (snake/funnel-web spider bite)
Documentation:
Complete a first aid incident report form based on the simulated first aid scenario

A written assessment consisting of multiple-choice questions. The student must complete all assessment questions.

Pre-requisites
An individual undertaking this course will need to demonstrate the following to be eligible for entry:
An official form of photo identification (e.g. driver’s licence, passport, or student ID)
Physical capability to perform CPR on the floor and meet the demands of practical demonstration skills
Learning: Follow instructions, ask for help, and learn from feedback
Reading: Read short texts such as signs and step-by-step instructions
Writing: Write short notes or complete simple forms
Oral communication: Listen carefully and communicate clearly
Numeracy: Use simple numbers and counting
Digital Literacy: Use a mobile phone or basic device to access learning resources and complete online tasks
Online study requirements:
Students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet, or other electronic device with internet access to complete the online learning and assessment components.
