This nationally recognised course set provides the knowledge and practical skills required to understand how the body functions and to safely support clients with medication in line with legislative and workplace requirements. Learners develop an understanding of anatomy and physiology, how body systems function and interact, and how to recognise and respond to changes in a client’s condition. The course also focuses on safe medication support, including different medication types, administration methods, and accurate documentation. This course includes both theory and practical components, supporting learners to confidently apply their knowledge in real-world care settings. |

Physical capability to perform practical tasks, including assisting with medication
Numeracy skills to calculate and check dosages, expiry dates, and basic measurements
Reading skills to interpret client information and medication instructions
Communication skills to interact with clients, explain procedures, and obtain consent
Digital skills to access and complete online learning and assessment tasks
Online study requirements:
Students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet, or other electronic device with internet access to complete the online learning and assessment components.
